The Axiom Project LLC ("we," "us," "our") operates theaxiomproject.org (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how it's used and protected.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Email address and username, when you create an account
- Any content you choose to post — Feed posts, comments, forum topics and replies, catalogue submissions, community content
- Profile information you choose to add — avatar, signature, and any other optional personalization details
Information collected automatically:
- Basic technical information such as IP address and browser type, which is standard for any website and helps us maintain security and diagnose issues
- Session data, used solely to keep you logged in and remember your preferences (such as your currently selected game)
Payment information: If we offer paid subscriptions in the future, payment will be processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. We will not directly collect, see, or store your full card number or other sensitive payment details — that information is handled entirely by Stripe under their own security and privacy practices. We will retain only the minimum information needed to manage your subscription (such as confirmation that a payment succeeded).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Provide and maintain your account and the Platform's features
- Enable community moderation and enforce our Community Guidelines
- Communicate with you about your account (such as approval notifications)
- Maintain the security and integrity of the Platform
- Improve the Platform over time
3. What We Don't Do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your email address or personal account information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies necessary for the Platform to function correctly — primarily to keep you logged in and to remember your active game context as you browse. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising tracking.
5. Third-Party Services
We use a limited number of trusted third-party services to operate the Platform. If we introduce paid subscriptions, this will include:
- Stripe, for payment processing (see Section 1)
These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their specific function and are bound by their own privacy and security practices.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account remains active. If you wish to delete your account, contact us using the information in Section 9, and we will remove your personal information except where we are required to retain certain records by law.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You can review and update most of your account information directly through your account settings at any time. If you have questions about your data or wish to request its deletion, you may contact us directly.
8. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.
